I haven’t been well over the last couple of days so I haven’t felt much like doing anything other than sitting around doing nothing at all. I hope to be on the mend for the New Year. James has been sick as well and I think Mandy is coming down with something as well I hope that we all have a good New Years.

What a day today has been I am feeling so tired that I could just fall asleep at the computer. I have had to run my whole department on my own for the last week and I can say that I hope that I don’t have to do it again for some time. I have finally got a week off yippee! I had to put up with my boss trying to got me to work my week off and even work more overtime but I have got the week of, and I just want to sleep then read some books and then the most important bit spend time with Mandy, and James. I can’t wait for the new year I just want to get this one over with and start afresh.

We have had our church Sunday school Christmas Nativity to day and James was a Shepard. He looked very nice but he was not very well behaved while he was on the stage he kept on trying to sing into the microphone while the story was being told. I don’t think that he really know what was happening though and I am shore that it was all completely innocent. The rest of the nativity was wonderful the young people did a great job. I can say that even though James missed behaved a little I was quite proud of him.
The rest of the day Mandy, James, and I just chilled and got ready for Christmas. I have had to work on the computer because I got a email with a virus in it. Thankfully my virus scanner picked up as soon as I got it and deleted it, which was good.
I will be away for Christmas so I will not be posting for the next few days so.
Merry Christmas to all that happen to read this Blog.

I haven’t bloged much again because things have been a bit busy around here getting ready for the big day and working till late this week as well. Today though, I have been visiting my mother in my home village of Penkridge in Staffordshire. It was good to see here and also to see the rest of the family. James seemed to enjoy himself. We took all the Christmas presents over to my mother and brought back the ones for James and us. I can’t believe how many presents there are for James he has got at least three bags full and that is just from my side of the family. I can’t wait to see his face on Christmas morning. I think that he will go hyper when he sees all his presents that he has, all that he seems to want is a pair of slippers though I think he get a bit of a shock on the day. I know that his other Nanny has got him a good number of presents for him as well Mandy and I are trying to work out how we are going to get them all home I hope that I don’t have to put on the roof rack.

There is a theory which states that if ever for any reason anyone discovers what exactly the Universe is for and why it is here it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. — Douglas Adams
What a day today has been fist I got p and went to see James’ school Christmas party where he got a present for Santa. Then I had to go to work, which was very busy because we are one person down in my department because R is away. It has been steady but hard work with just two of us. I came home to find Mandy waiting up for me, which was nice; we had some supper and talked for a time. She told me that James has told her to out his dummy in the bin because he don’t want it any more so he has hidden it out of site just in case he screams for it.
I have just been watching a TV program about Christmas LA in the USA and how the move Stars celebrate Christmas. I can’t believe that some even buy snow just for their kids to play with for a few hours before it melts. What a waist of money and time I say. They seem to have money to burn, and I think about the homeless and staving people on our own streets at this Christmas. What would they give to have some place to sleep out of the cold and a hot meal? The price of the snow came to about $5000 how much food could they buy for that then.

Mandy and I took James to see Santa today and he loved it. When asked what presents he wanted James replied “I want a pair of slippers to keep my feet warm” Mandy and I had to laugh. I love the way that a three year old looks at the world; it is such an innocent way. I hope it last for some time because I am shore that when he is older he will be wanting more than a pair of slippers for Christmas.

Christmas has now officially started in our house the tree and the decorations are now up, James loves it. He keeps saying is Santa coming tonight but sadly we have to say no next week, he can't wait. I must say that the Youth Fellowship have done a wonderful job putting them up again this year and I think that we all had a good time.
I haven’t been bloging for a few days because I just really needed to stop, chill, do nothing at all, and that meant not bloging. James has also been ill which meant that I haven’t had any sleep at all because I have been on early’s all week. I just can’t wait for my holiday at the New Year. Church was great today and I was glad that I didn’t have to record it today, as it was just good to worship and not have any thing to think about other than that. James is getting ready for the Sunday school nativity pay next week I think that he is looking forward to that. We are about the have my youth fellowship around for a tree dressing party and a Chinese take away meal as well. It should be a good time to chill and talk before Christmas. It has become part of out Christmas traditions that I hope will carry on for some time, at least until James is old enough to do it. Life is fine at the moment.

I have had the day off work today and I have enjoyed it. I took the day off so that I could go to the hospital with Mandy as she had an appointment there with a specialist. The good think it that she is ok. I took James to school today and he seems to have had a good time, he cam home with a picture of Santa that he had painted for us. I can’t believe that it will soon be Christmas. Time seem to fly’s so fast these days. I know that James can’t wait and I suppose Mandy and I can’t wait to if the truth were known. Even though I have had today of work I have to go back to work tomorrow so I am not looking forward to that but it won’t be long before I am on holiday again as I have go New Years week of so not long really.

The power of man has grown in every sphere, except over himself. — Winston Churchill
It was cold this morning as I got up and rode to work I was slipping around on the ice on the road. The fog hasn’t lifted yet and I have a feeling that it will still be there when I get up as well. Work was ok I say ok because I took over from the night shift and that always makes my day harder cleaning up after them and also trying to get everything running right after they have been adjusting things. Mandy was waiting for me after work in the car she braved the cold and the fog just to pick me up I must admit that I wasn’t expecting to see her and James waiting for me. I haven’t done much since I got home I have just been working on the computer imputing data in to my new program and seeing what comes out. After James went to bed Mandy and I both watched the film Gladiator on the TV and just spent some time together, which was good. I think that Gladiator was a very good film. I now can understand why it got such good reviews. The only but that I found hard going and may be a bit weak was the ending I think that it could have been better more stronger maybe, but hay I am not a film maker am I. Well that’s my day and I can’t wait until tomorrow honest especially the work part.

I have had a good day today. Church was good the sermon was very good but a bit long and I was glad to see friends there. My service went very well. James had been playing up today I think he is getting excited about Christmas. I again just chilled and did nothing when I was at home; although I have got a new program on the computer with I am working on at the moment. That’s about it for now. I have got work early tomorrow so I am already late for bed so I had better go now.

So! Today has been good I have done nothing but laugh all day. I have been playing tricks on people and have had some good ones played on me. It has been a very fast day as in the fact that after I got to work I looked at my watch and then found that time had gone so fast that I was going home, if you know what I mean. Mandy was waiting up for me when I go home and we had a good talk about the day, it was good to just sit and spent some QT with each other with out any interruptions. Mandy has now gone to bed and I have just got a few things to do before I go. On thing that I have been thinking about today was why do people put up the Christmas decorations up so darn early. I mean there have been people that I know who live near me and they have had the decorations up for weeks, now work has put some up and as I have driven home tonight there are seven houses covered with lights. When I was a child it was tradition for our family to put our Christmas Decorations up on Christmas eve and not before, they would stay up for the full twelve day of Christmas and be taken down. Now we live in an age where Christmas seems to be getting loner and more financial than what it used to be after all it is about love and peace and the fact that Jesus was born it’s not about how much should we spend on our presents or how fast can you get drunk. I wish that I could turn back the clock and have Christmas as I had it when I was young.

What can I say about today? Nat much work was fine and I had a good day. I got up and early so I feel very sleepy so I think I will be of to bed soon. Mandy is fine and James is fine as well but he still has his cough. That’s about it for today hope that tomorrow will be just as good.

I feel asleep last night in front of the TV so I didn’t Blog at all yesterday. Nevertheless today I have managed to get in front of the computer. I have had a good day I suppose Mandy took James to school and I got up and did some DIY around the house like mending the hover and stopping a leaky overflow. Many had been asked buy a friend if she would baby sit their little girl after Playgroup so James had a friend to play with for a few hours it was fun to see them both playing in there own litter world. I went to work very grudgingly as I really didn’t want to go at all but when I got there it was fine I just don’t like the afternoon shift that is all. I had a laugh tough but the day did seem to go very slow indeed and I was glad to get home and have some QT with Mandy. I decided to put on my engagement ring on my wedding ring finger today the reason being that I lost my wedding ring some time ago. I just thought that I would try wearing a ring again. I don’t know if I will keep it on or not because I still feel like I will loses it like the last one but I will have to see. Mandy seems to think it is a good idea as it is better being on my finger than in a box. I still miss my old ring though and I don’t think that the ring that I have now will ever be the same.

I have had the busiest day today I got up and went to Church and had a very good preacher, the service was well put together and I enjoyed the sermon as well. I then came home and had no rest as I was preaching myself today so I had to rush around trying to get tings done before I went out. I got home later but again I didn’t have much time as I had to go to Youth fellowship to lead that. I have just stopped and have taken some time for myself. I feel like I haven’t had time of at all. One thing though I have got a late start tomorrow for work so I can get a lie in. James and Mandy have been great today when I have seen them the just put up with all my moaning and grumpiness which trust me I have done a lot of today. I hope to get to bed soon and get some well earned rest.

I have been at work today and it feels like Friday but I know that it isn’t. I hope to get a lie in it the morning but I don’t think I will with James on the loose. I must say that work was good today even though it was overtime it went very quickly and I had a easy day to. When I got home Mandy, James and I all went out shopping and I got the my last Christmas presents so that means that we have now got all our presents and we just need to sit back and look forward to Christmas. James is getting in to the mood already as he saw Farther Christmas today at Asda and he was so happy and he kept looking for him and saying, “there’s Santa.” I think that he has worked out most of what happens at Christmas now.
I have got into reading eBooks on the computer. I like the idea of getting books at low cost and without having to take up lots of space on bookcases. The best part about eBooks is that quite a lot are free or half the price of a full paper book, and it is greener. Although there is something to say about having a paper book in you hands and reading it. I am using Microsoft Reader which if you down load for free form Microsoft you can get some good eBooks for free I have got Encarta® Pocket Dictionary and a Star Trek book called The Belly of the Beast by Dean Wesley Smith. I have just started reading a book called Mon and Dad at the home front, it is a bit like the Lion and the Witch in the wardrobe. I like it and it seems to be a good fast read to.
