Don't wait for your "ship to come in," and feel angry and cheated when it doesn't. Get going with something small.

I am back from my holiday feeling more tired that before I went. But isn’t that always the same after holidays. I still have one more week left before I go back to the place where I spend 8 hours a day at so I still I suppose am on holiday. I had a good time away I deliberately did what we wanted to do and only went to the things that we wanted to do which was cool as I feel that we got more out of the week that way, some may say different but what the heck it was our holiday. James had a wonderful time and didn’t want to leave the campsite but it only took a mention that he would be seeing his grand parents soon and he was happy. That is about all that I have time to write will see what come s later.

Just found the time to get in front of my computer to blog things have been a bit hectic. I have been working flat out with over time and when I come home all I want to do is sleep and then spend what little time left with Mandy and James. At least my holiday starts today. I will been in Derbyshire for the next week and then moving around after that so I don’t know if I will get time to Blog or even see a computer. The best thing is that I will just be able to rest and recharge the batteries I hope. So if I haven’t blogged for the next week, then you will be reading this and know why.

I have just got out of bed and am feel very sleepy, as I have been working over time last night/this morning. Things are ok at work just so much to do, the company that I work for has got so many orders that we need to work over time just to keep up. I suppose that it is a good situation to be in job security and all that but it shore takes it out off me when I work over time. Mandy’s mother and farther are coming to stay for a few day they are travelling down from Yorkshire today as I write this. It will be good to see them. Mandy, James and her parents are taking our cats to my mothers so that she can look after them while we are on holiday. It will be good for them to see each other again because I don’t think that they have all met since my farther died and that is about six years ago. I suppose that it is because when we lived in Yorkshire my parents used to visit us a lot and they always called in to see the in-laws but since we moved to Grantham they haven’t, I suppose that 180 mile is a long way apart. I still miss my dad.

Column Paul Briand: The nerd who came in from the cold I must be a one but I don't do the snowboarding though and I don't go the the gym or do half of the things listed

Ananova - Pets gather in church for 101 Dalmatians sermon No this was not my church.

Lightning sends message - York Daily Record I think that we all some times need a short sharp shock to get us moving, but this it a bit to much.

I am back to normal at last got home yesterday and felt very tired and just needed to rest so we all went to bed. And got up late this morning. Mandy had to almost drag James out of bed to go to play group, he was in such a deep sleep, because didn’t stop playing all weekend. As for us well we are both looking forward to our holiday next week. What can I say about the weekend then? First it was an annual youth weekend held at a place called Stathern lodge. I was one of the leaders on the weekend and E and myself ran the older group sessions. It was good to work with E and also the young people in our group were very attentive. We covered Jesus’ relationships. It was very hard work but I think that we all got something out of the weekend. I think that God had a lot to do with how the whole sessions came together and his hand was on all of it I am shore of that. We finished the weekend with a very good service at finking street Methodist Church. I could say that there was things that we thought that we could do better but then we all could say that, and I hope that I will remember to bring those things up at our next meeting. That was about it for the weekend away I am just wondering what we will do next. On the home front I had my new bicycle delivered on Friday just as I was leaving, so I am now the owner of a 21-speed mountain bike witch I hope to use to ride to work on when I am on a morning shift, you say why only on a morning shift well I don’t like the idea of riding home late at nigh or very early in the morning after a 21 hour shift. I will talk more about my bike after I have been on it, as I haven’t had time to ride it yet. Thinking off work, well what can I say about that it is ok I just felt so tired all day after the week end that was all and I haven’t worked over time or I wouldn’t be writing this now. And I am still looking forward to my holidays.

Star Trek captain collects OBE Wll Done and make it so.

I am happy and looking forward to the weekend Mandy and James are too, James has been very stubborn and mischievous today the complete opposite to yesterday, but then again life would be boring with out change wouldn’t it? Hope to have some QT time with Mandy now that the little monster has gone to bed.

Orchestra to play while dead cow falls I cant seem to get the point to this one. The things that people do for art. And the what has a dead cow got to do with the crucifixion. Mind you it would be funny to see.

"I wish they would remember that the charge to Peter was "Feed my sheep", not "Try experiments on my rats", or even "Teach my performing dogs new tricks".
C. S. Lewis

James has been a good boy today he has been so loving and happy. I got home and all that he wanted to do was to play games with me. I love it when he lets me into his own little world of play. I have started to read a new book it is a Star Trek, Blake’s 7 crossover seems interesting I hope to have it read fast because I have just brought some more Star Trek books from e-bay so they will keep my going. The weather seems to have taken a change here in Grantham at 05:00 this morning it was raining and cold and when I came home it was still raining at least the rain will do the plants good. I only hope that the weather is better for the weekend. I found myself watching Crossroads on TV today I have decided that it is still as bad as the last time it was on, just that the cast seems to be a lot younger and all looking thin and trendy. It seems to be ploy to get the younger element of society to watch it I don’t think that it will last long. Interesting thought about that is the fact that my Bible study for yesterday was about WHO'S INFLUENCING WHO? It was taken from Proverbs 1:10-19. And was going on about who and what entices you and if your friends pull you away or push you toward Jesus. Just think about that one.

Blogger has been having some problems with their sever today so I couldn’t Blog as much. John H has gone home today so it is just Mandy, James and I again. Felt very out of it at work today needing more sleep I think but other than that it was ok. Came home and fell asleep, what’s new. A friend came round to talk about the youth weekend that we are planning for this Saturday and Sunday, it should be good and I hope that I don’t get to worn out. After she left I phoned a few friends, which was nice to catch up. Watched Big brother and found out who had been nominated and was interested to see that Paul is not on the list but Helen and Josh are, I think Josh will be out on Friday. Looking forward to my holiday and also meeting some friends only about two weeks to go, hehehehe. And I still haven’t had any one send me any thing of my wish list, go and have a look, LOL.

I hate Mondays. Hate them, hate them, hate them and hate them. Didn’t get much sleep last night and when I did Mandy said that I woke her up by talking in my sleep. Then the alarm went off and I fell out of bed a got up and fell asleep on the loo; I finely pulled my self together and got to work on time, feeling very sleepy and not on this planet. God knows how I manage to set up and do my work as I didn’t feel awake until about 08.00 and them that was after 2 cups of coffee. The rest of the day went well but I have been told that I have to be at work for 05.30 to get things set up this week. More lack of sleep. Mandy, James and John H were watching that tennis when I got home it was the last of it for this year at last. We then went out and did some shopping and that was about it for today I came home ad fell asleep (what is new there) and I am now on my way to bed at last. John H is leaving tomorrow so I have said go bye to him, I think that I will miss him around the place, and am about to go to bed. Hope fully I will have more time tomorrow to get some more things done we will see.

RACIAL violence flared in Bradford last night as riot police clashed with youths leaving two people stabbed and 18 arrested. This is sad why can't we all learn to get on with each other it makes me feel ashamed.

It is never too late to give up our prejudices.

Still thinking about the car and found this.

Top 10 reasons to buy a new car...

10. Your passenger seat is on the National Register of Historic Places.

9. Instead of an air bag, there's a whoopee cushion taped to your steering wheel.

8. You lose the stoplight challenge to a 14-year-old on a moped.

7. The 15 minute JiffyLube needs to keep your car for 3 days.

6. When you gas up, the attendant asks, "Can I re-duct tape that windshield for you?"

5. Thieves repeatedly break in your car just to steal "The Club."

4. While sitting at a stop light, people keep running up to you and asking if anyone was hurt.

3. For the last five years, you've had to settle for making "vroom, vroom" noises while in the driveway.

2. You keep losing dates on left turns.

1. Traffic reporters start referring to you by name when discussing morning tie-ups.

Mandy and myself have both been out preaching today. Mandy says that she had a good time and I think that I did; the sermon could of done with a bit more work but it was ok. Church was ok this morning Tony P our minister was the preacher he was ok I had to record it so I had other things on my mind and I couldn’t worship as well. Our guest John H took us out for Sunday lunch at our local pub called the Muddle Go Nowhere, which was very nice of him to do. All three of us adults had chicken in a hickory sauce and James had a children’s meal. We had to get back home for me to go out preaching for 15:00 so we eat and run much to James’ dislike because he wanted to play in their play area. Had the car looked at by a friend to day it has began to make a noise from one of the wheels he says that it needs a new wheel bearing. He says that he can fix it but it will cast about £30-£40. More money to spend when we don’t have any never mind at least it will safe for us to go on our holiday. Back to work tomorrow bar-hum-bug early starts as well. That means that it will be a week of me feeling sleepy and ratty what is new.

What can I say about today? I got woken up at some early hour but some fool doing DIY on my street which went down well I can tell you? I think that most of the street got up at about the same time, which was very early for a Saturday. James also got up and it was up to me to get up and look after him so Mandy had a lie in. I for one don’t mind getting up with James because he lets me fall back to sleep in the chair but he never lets Mandy sleep at all. Mandy got up soon after any way as the noise in the street was going on and on and our guest got up some time later. I haven’ done much today just prepared a sermon for tomorrow and watched some TV and videos. I also sorted out my wish list for my birthday (note the link hint, hint), which is fast approaching. 30 old or what I can still remember my 18th like yesterday (he says taking out his teeth and putting them in a glass next to him.) I have decided that I will not look at 30 as getting old but look to it as a coming of age time to look to the future. I will take 30 in my stride.

Just thought that I would mention that it is my 30th birthday on the 25th of this month so I have set up an Amazon wish list for my friend and family. So I would like to take this time to point to the new link on the left. If there is any rich readers out there with some spare cash feel free to look and I will love you forever.

Google Search: Search Google for Star trek collecters and guess what site turns up at number 3? Sorry no Star Trek stuff for sale here.

It’s a day off today and I have been mooching around all day sleeping on the settee and just doing nothing at all. I am glad that I have got today off as work was getting a bit to much for me with all the over time that I have done but at least I have got a long weekend. John H has come to stay with us today, he will be with us for a few days, personally I think that he is mad to come and stay with us here it this mad house but I am glad that he is here. Mandy is happy because they both share a common interest, which is a watching, an old science fiction program called Blake’s 7 I like it as well but not as much as Star Trek. John has come with a bag full of videos to watch I may take some time out to watch some; it is better than the tennis, which they both like as well. I think that I have got the best thing out of the whole weekend though Mandy and john are as I write sitting down stairs in the front room collating all my Star Trek Fact Files, a job that I have been putting off for some time and was hoping that they would do it this week end. He says smiling to himself. I have phone my mother this evening which I haven’t done in some time and there was a knock at the door I was the only one that seemed to notice it so I put my mother on hold to see who it was only to find that it was the window cleaner wanting to be paid which I did but I only went and forgot that I had my mother on hold 15 mins later I picked up the phone and she was still on hold! I felt so bad about it, but it just goes to show that we are part of a world that is used to being left on hold. Sorry Mom.

I haven’t had much time over the last few days I have been on the over time kick again so I am feeling very tired and out of it at the moment. James is being a good boy today he has been to the loo tree times all on his own without any help and I think that he is almost dry though out the night. If we get potty training over with then it will be a big help. Only three more weeks until we go on holiday yippee. I am not working over time to night I thing thank God so I hope to be home early good to spend some QT with Mandy.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14/NIV

Within each of us is a hidden store of energy. Energy we can release to compete in the marathon of life. Within each of us is a hidden store of courage. Courage to give us the strength to face any challenge. Within each of us is a hidden store of determination. Determination to keep us in the race when all seems lost.

So what happen this weekend then? It was my father-in-law’s birthday party on Sunday so Mandy James and I all went to Yorkshire on Friday night it was a good journey up apart from the road works on the A1 but we got though them ok. Saturday was a nice warm day with nothing to do so we all went to the sea side a Redcar, we just walked along the sea front and did some shopping I brought a so new sandals and Mandy’s mom Rose brought some food for the party on Sunday. We all had a nice time there. Later on in the evening James’ granddad took him to watch the cricket which he enjoyed lots. Sunday was also a warm day and the sun was hiding behind the clouds, which was ok but fooled me because I have now got a sunburnt head, which is very sore. The party went better that I was expecting the family didn’t have any major augments. Mandy was a bit fed up about the baby talk but I think that se coped very well. We left Yorkshire in the early evening and got home about 21:00 so James was very tired and sleepy we had something to eat and sent James to bed. And Mandy and I had a bit of Qt time together. That was the storey of the weekend. As for today I got up late and have been shopping with Mandy while James was at playgroup and I am now getting ready to go to work. Something that I am not looking forward to after what was a lovely weekend but that is life.

Well I am back and I am looking forward to the next weekend that I have away. I had lots of fun and a few thing happened but I am feeling very sleep as it is just about to turn 01:00 and I have been on the go all day and need some sleep. I will bring things up to date latter on today. Bed now I think.
